Fishguard is situated on the beautiful North Pembrokeshire coastline, in the heart of the world renowned Pembrokeshire National Park.
Our holiday lets are just a five to ten minute walk to both the family friendly beach and the centre of the town in Fishguard where you can find restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops.
Fishguard is full of history, notably our very own Jemima Nicholas defeating 12 French soldiers in the last invasion of Britain in 1797. The town hall and library are home to the fascinating Last invasion tapestry along with other artefacts of historical interest.
From your doorstep you can explore beautiful walks through historical sites, mountains, woods and valleys, beaches, and of course, the incredible Pembrokeshire coastal path. There is something for everyone!
Beaches, Beaches, Beaches
The county has 27 surfing beaches, depending on wave direction, and most are lovely to just enjoy from the shore.
Ancient Stones
North Pembrokeshire has perhaps the richest visible Megalithic history in the whole of Wales.
The Pilgrim Routes
St David’s Cathedral was the destination of several pilgrims’ routes across the country, and many old churches remain to retrace their steps.
Abundant Wildlife
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Islands are teeming with abundant and often rare wildlife, from birds and flowers, to dolphins, seals, and occasional whales and basking sharks.
Coastal Path
The All Wales Coastal Path includes the 187 unspoilt miles around Pembrokeshire that were voted 2nd in the world by readers of National Geographical.
From short, easy walks to the full, challenging circuit, the scenery is breathtaking.
Music Festivals
Fishguard plays host to music festivals through the year: the Fishguard Folk Festival, Aberjazz and the Fishguard International Music Festival. You can find live music weekly at several venues including a folk music session at the Royal Oak.
